Crab Appetizers



  • 1 package imitation crab (8 oz)
  • 1 8-oz package cream cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wonton Wrappers (package of 50)
  • Vegetable oil


Chop crab meat in food processor; remove into a large bowl.  Chop onion finely in food processor.  Add to crab meat.  Mix in cream cheese with beaters or hands.  Add sugar, salt, and pepper.

Heat 2 inches of oil to medium heat.  Drop approx. 1-2 Tbsp crab mixture into middle of wonton wrapper.  Moisten fingers with water and run fingers around 4 edges of the wrapper.  Pull corners together and pinch edges to seal.  Fry in oil until turns light brown.  Cool on paper towels.
